Networks : Voluntary Sector Forum

The Voluntary Sector Forum is open to all members of the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Waltham Forest and is a unique opportunity to attend a meeting with other members of the VCS, Councillors and Council officers.

It's purpose is:

  • To provide a regular opportunity for the exchange of ideas, views, policies and experiences of Waltham Forest Council and voluntary organisations in the borough in relation to the Council’s policies, procedures, practices and strategies as they concern and affect the voluntary sector and the Council. Individual grant aid decisions are not matters appropriate to the terms and reference of this meeting.

  • To maintain and encourage mutual understanding and the exchange of information between the two sectors.

  • To consider and advise on ways and means of improving communication between the Council and the Borough’s voluntary sector.

  • To make recommendations to Committees on any appropriate matters.
