Community Accountancy

VAWF’s Community Accountancy Project aims to:

  • Increase the capacity of groups to maintain their own finances.
  • Help small and medium groups to meet funders and legal requirements.
  • Improve networking and promote best practice amongst financial workers and treasurer

We provide information on changes in accounting requirements and legal updates

The Project runs regular training sessions on the following topics:

  • QuickBooks, Sage MYOB Accounting Programs
  • Sage & QuickBooks payroll programs
  • Excel Spreadsheet
  • Book Keeping
  • Budgets & Cash flows
  • Financial Policies and Procedures
  • Charity and Charitable company accounts

We also provide Finance health checks

We offer one-to-one for voluntary organisations in Waltham Forest to assist with any aspect of Finance.
